Capgemini India to double Headcount

IT consulting firm Capgemini India Ltd, the Indian arm of France-based Capgemini today said it plans to more than double its headcount to 40,000 in the next three years.
"We are planning to raise our employee strength from current 17,500 to 40,000 by the next three years," Capgemini India chief executive officer Salil S Parekh told PTI on the sidelines of the India Economic Summit here.
Capgemini Consulting India is also expanding the capacity of its Chennai unit to accommodate 20,000 employees. However, he declined to divulge further details.
The company offers its services across several verticals including retail, telecom, manufacturing, energy, utilities, finance and public sector.
The parent company Capgemini has a presence in almost all European countries apart from United States and Australia.
